Cleverlance Monitoring System

2009–2022

I gradually expanded, upgraded, and twice migrated the central monitoring server to new hardware.

monitoring in Nagios with maps in NagVis, service dependencies, and SMS notifications via GSM modem,
graphs in Cacti, later in collectd, Graphite, and Grafana, NetFlow collection,
automatic backup of network device configurations (RANCID),
custom plugins and tools in Python: monitoring of Cisco UCS, UPS, and server rooms, multicast propagation checks, VPN load tracking,
central syslog with forwarding to Splunk.
